General anxiety disorders
According to research in the UK (AnxietyUK, 2016), one in 10 people will experience an anxiety disorder in their lifetime and fear is the sixth leading cause of global disability (WHO, 2015). Left untreated, an anxiety disorder can lead to clinical depression.
Good results are achieved with acupuncture in the treatment of general anxiety disorders. Acupuncture can also supplement therapy sessions.
Pain
Many pain disorders respond well to acupuncture. Acupuncture according to Tan’s Balance Method treats disturbances in a different part of the body than where the pain is located. This is in contrast to dry needling. Pain relief is often already experienced during the first treatment. Several treatments are required for a permanent result. The number of treatments varies from client to client.

Breast cancer counseling
In the Netherlands, one in seven women develops breast cancer. Acupuncture cannot cure cancer. However, acupuncture can provide support for fatigue, nausea, restlessness, sleeping problems, relieve side effects and the emotional aspects.
Personal development
Chinese medicine was originally aimed at maintaining good health and developing a person’s capacities and talents to the maximum. In other words, to develop the best version of yourself.
The organs play an important role in Chinese medicine. Everyone naturally has stronger and weaker organs, which affects the overall functioning of a person. In addition, life events and lifestyle habits can influence the functioning of the organs. The purpose of acupuncture is to remove any blockages in the body, to bring the organs into mutual balance and to support them for the optimal functioning and development of a person.
Cosmetic acupuncture (basic treatment)
According to Chinese tradition, internal imbalances manifest themselves on the outside of the body. For example, that one little wrinkle that can annoy you so much, hanging eyelids or drooping mouth corners point to an internal imbalance in the body. Cosmetic acupuncture is an integrated treatment in which the internal imbalance is addressed and at the same time local treatment is applied to the face. It is not a substitute for Botox, but there are already several celebrities (for example Madonna, Sandra Bullock, Demi Moore) who use cosmetic acupuncture to maintain a good look.
